Lorraine Adams of toe to soul therapy in Twickenham says:
water makes up nearly two-thirds of the body and is an essential nutrient, necessary for all aspects of bodily functioning including the distribution of oxygen and other nutrients, the removal of waste products and the regulation of temperature. Its importance is illustrated by a person dying within as little as three to five days if they do not drink. However, the body can be affected by dehydration well before the point of death.
Previous studies have found when there is a water loss of around 2% of body weight then memory, attention and mood are adversely affected. This is typically associated with periods of extended physical activity – and much dehydration research has focused on this area, rather than the everyday water loss that we examined.
Water is essential for our bodies, it protects our heart, and it gives our brain a boost with much needed oxygen. It increases our metabolism which will help our body burn fat, and it keeps you feeling more alert and focused.
Within my reflexology practice I work a lot on the lymphatic system, it helps eliminate toxins and starts to detoxify the body. One of the quickest and easiest ways to remove the toxins after a treatment is to drink plenty of water to flush out the kidneys. Many of us are quick to pick up a plastic bottle of water to quench our thirst, but how safe really is the plastic that we are drinking from. We don't really know how many chemicals are leaked into our water and absorbed by the body. That's where BPA free bottles come in

What is BPA?
BPA is the abbreviation for Bisphenol A, a compound which is used to make polycarbonate plastic. BPA can cause health problems especially when heated as the heat causes chemicals to leach from plastic. You may have heard that you should never leave a plastic bottle in a car for that reason.
BPA is also banned to be used in baby bottles in the European Union (see also the press page).
All our products are BPA free. With our BPA free stainless steel products you are on the safe side to take your drinks with you in the car.
Why use water bottles over pre-bottled water?
Why choose reusable water bottles filled with tap water over disposable and often plastic bottles?
- The (Not Very) Green Nature of Bottled Water
- 85% of all PET bottles end up in landfills or as litter
- the production of bottled water requires a lot of oil, releasing tons of carbon dioxide, a major global warming gas
- the total amount of energy embedded in the use of bottled water is the equivalent of filling a plastic bottle one quarter full of oil.
- Bottled Water Costs A Lot of Money
- Bottled water is more expensive than tap water
- Bottled Water is Not Better
